On Stage
We stage a variety of productions each year. You can get involved in acting, singing, and dancing.
Musicals
These are usually performed once per year at the end of October. They range from classics such as "Carousel" to newer musicals such as "Into the Woods" and we always have a live orchestra.
Concerts
We occasionally perform concerts, to celebrate a specific event. During 2014 we are performing a number of concerts commemorating WW1
Other Activities
Throughout the year we sing at various events around the region to raise funds for the group. During the festive period we often sing Christmas carols at local venues such as Sainsbury's. We also hold bag packing events, afternoon teas and our annual open night to give the public a taste of our forthcoming show.
Back Stage
We are always looking for help behind the scenes! We usually hire the set and the bulk of costumes for our performances, but there’s still a lot of work to be done in terms of managing props and wardrobe. Stage crew are always in demand and we never turn down an extra pair of hands!
It's not just the technical side of theatre that you can get involved with either; we also need people involved with promoting the company. Whatever your skills and interests, we will find a use for them - don't be shy, tell us what you can do!
Front-Of-House
Front-of-house staff are an important asset of any production as they provide the first impression to the audience. Opportunities to work front-of-house during the week the show is being performed include selling programmes and raffle tickets, providing refreshments and helping audience members to their seats.
Fundraising and Social Events
It's not just about the show - we also organise a variety of fundraising and social events throughout the year, including race nights, quizzes, and outings to support other local theatre groups. These are not solely exclusive to members - family and friends are welcome too.
